     The arts played critical roles in the survival of people in the WWII German concentration camps. In earlier posts I have shared stories about musicians and the ways in which music essentially saved their lives. Today’s post tells the inspiring story of a former prisoner who found the way to creative aging through dancing.

     This story from The Times of Jerusalem features Eva Fahidi, a 90-year-old Hungarian holocaust survivor. Her dance performance, Sea Lavender or the Euphoria of Being, brings her story to life through a partnership with a younger dancer. It is a powerful tribute to the healing and transforming powers of the arts.
