Gardens, especially healing gardens, are a recurring theme here and in my book in progress Shaping Lives, Transforming Communities: Creative Expression in the Dance of Life. One of my favorite resources on art exhibitions is Hypoallergic and today’s post is a great essay on the relationships between the development of the modern garden tradition in Europe and gardens in painting, both Impressionist and more.

If you are in London, be sure to see this exhibition at the Royal Academy of Art before it closes on April 20.
