     Dr. Bill Thomas is asking critical questions that need close examination. Not only is he redesigning nursing and rehabilitation homes, he is questioning the very words we use to describe dementia in general and Alzheimer’s in particular. This is important because the words we use to describe things become the things themselves. So often the descriptions in the media, which become reality in people’s minds, bear little relationship to the actual knowledge we have through science. This post is an important one for everyone to read and ponder.

We do not know the exact culprit, or combination of culprits, of these experiences; therefore, classing it as a disease to be eradicated is to put the proverbial cart before the horse.”
