A Public School Model for Special Needs Children in Minnesota, 1:
Brought to You by Your Curated Information Blog, Create & Be Well
I am always looking for examples of how local communities take a creative approach to shaping education for their children. The Karner Blue Education Center in Blaine, Minnesota is a tribute to what can be done when we put children first and use both knowledge and experience to create healing environments, especially for those with special needs.
I found this great place through Pathways for Peace, a Minnesota-based company that designs labyrinths for various organizations. What this article does not tell you is that the school has a Labyrinth Way that is used particularly for helping children to solve social differences.
This is the first of two posts today on the Karner Blue Education Center. (Karner Blue is a butterfly that is on the endangered species list.)
