Among other things, I am a classical scholar–the works of the ancient Roman philosophers and poets have had an important role to play in my intellectual life. In these difficult days Brain Pickings, as usual, points us to the wisdom for great thinkers–in this instance the Stoics of ancient Rome. Her suggestion to consult the Daily Stoic, a compendium for our times drawn from the past, is a good one.           The images are from the wonderful Buddha Doodles, linking East and West for our meditations.
