I am a great fan of the University of Tasmania and its Wicking Research Institute on dementia care. The university offers a free online course on dementia and an online baccalaureate program in dementia studies. I will be featuring the new dementia care teaching campus, the Leven Centre, as a “Beacon of Hope” in the resource guide being prepared for publication. Check out this story on this partnership with a nursing home and their ground breaking work on dementia. Australia is taking a major lead in dementia studies among universities across the world.
