As regular readers of this blog know, I love Yo-Yo Ma and the work of his Silk Road ensemble. I first heard him play, together with his sister, when he was an undergraduate at Harvard. Over the decades he has become a power for good, using music to help heal Boston after the Marathon Bombing and participating in the Turnaround Arts program at individual schools–all while shaping his musical career and creating the Silk Road ensemble.
