A “Beacon of Hope” in Philadelphia, the Village of Arts and Humanities:
Brought to You by My Curated Information Blog, Create & Be Well
I have posted several times about the work of Lily Yeh and Barefoot Artists. The Village of Arts and Humanities in Philadelphia was in its earliest stage when Lily Yeh became artist in resident there. It is in the Village that we can begin to trace the elements that took shape as Barefoot Artists. In its own right the Village of Arts and Humanities is one of the “Beacons of Hope” to be included in the first resource guide of my Living Through Creativity Series. Explore its website and learn more about its history and work. You may get some ideas for your own community.
The images on today’s post are all from one of my favorite places, the Eric Carle Picture Book Museum in Amherst, Massachusetts.
