Carnegie Hall’s Link Up Program, An Opportunity for Young People:
Brought to You by My Curated Information Blog, Create & Be Well
Most people are unaware of the wonderful education and community programs offered by major institutions like Carnegie Hall. This post shares the recent Link Up concert in Brazil that brought together young people from different communities and socioeconomic levels to make music together. The Link Up program is just one part of the Education and Community offerings at Carnegie Hall. I will follow up this post with a second one on the comprehensive program.
“On November 8, the Orquestra Sinfônica Brasileira (OSB) gave the South American premiere of Link Up: The Orchestra Moves, an interactive concert experience for third through fifth graders. More than 1,500 students and teachers from Rio de Janeiro played recorder, sang along, and danced at the concert—the culmination of the Weill Music Institute’s Link Up educational curriculum that introduces students to the orchestra.”
