          We are creating major problems for the future by doing nothing about the millions of children who are growing up in war zones abroad and in poverty and child abuse across the United States and other countries. We reap what we sow. Today’s post from Next Avenue shares a study from Australia on the long term effects that child abuse has on people. There are ways to help–the various arts therapies are powerful in the healing process–but the needed help is often not readily available. Programs for children and adults who have suffered from traumatic situations are few and far between. We are paying the price now and it will be higher in the future.
