            One of the most important developments in medicine and health care over the last five years has been the increasing integration of the arts into medical practice. In my research form my book in progress Shaping Lives, Transforming Communities: Creative Expression in the Dance of Life I have found a treasure chest of research and stories about this important phenomenon. Today’s post focuses on the use of dance in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease. The Guardian brings us the story of one dance company in London, but it is emblematic of examples from the US and Australia as well.
