          We are only beginning to understand the critical impact that many different kinds of trauma have on child and adult development. As we learn from a range of recent studies, we need to address the roots of behavioral problems in schools, not just the behaviors themselves.  This post sharesld development, the story in YES! Magazine about the experiences in Walla Walla, Washington, when the schools implemented a trauma-informed care approach to discipline problems. More communities need to learn from this example.
