          The arts of knitting and crocheting have become instruments of social activism in the hands of committed artists. The Coral Reef, the work of two Australian sisters, Margaret and Christine Wertheim, concerned over the destruction of the great coral reef in Australia, has been traveling around the world for several years. This art work is on exhibition at the University of California at Santa Cruz through May 6. It is well worth going to see it!
