The title of today’s post needs to be on the front page of every newspaper in bold italics…getting people to understand this in the midst of outrageous exaggerations and scare tactics used by researchers and organizations dependent on “dementia dollars” is almost impossible. Of course we need better research, better ways of diagnosing the various types of dementia, and better care for those with dementia. But the current support for developing paranoia about dementia has to stop. Kudos to Changing Aging for this essay.
