          Music is the first of the arts therapies that the federal government turned to after World War II to treat what we now know as PTSD in active duty and retired veterans. Music therapy owes its early development in the post-war world to this. Today’s post from the National Endowment for the Arts is a great introduction to the history and practice of music therapy on medicine.
