I really like this essay–setting up personal systems for shaping our lives is so much more effective than setting goals and making “resolutions.” Since I am in the middle of a move, I find it especially helpful. You may or may not find the specific approach helpful–what is important is the fundamental idea of a personal system rather than a list of goals. Check it out!

Museums are going in many new directions as they identify and adopt new ways of public involvement. New programs for people with disabilities and opportunities for both active elders and those with dementia are only a few of them. The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts includes the opportunity for an organization to propose a “made to measure” project to suit its needs.  It has also developed an art therapy initiative that other institutions might examine and adapt for their own needs.

Farnham Street’s series on mental models is one of the most important series of essays you can explore and today’s post is a particularly important one. Both our personal and professional growth, our contributions to the world around us, depend on our understanding and internalizing the concept of  “critical mass.” This is a rather long read but repays coming back it at least several times a year. What are the current “tipping points” or “critical masses” in your life?
