The School of International Training in Vermont partners with Musicians Without Borders to train people from across the world how to integrate music into outreach to communities and young people who have been the victims of war and disaster. Potpourri Sunday: How Artists Are Helping Transform A Detroit Community

The arts have very powerful roles to play in the development and renaissance of our communities. Detroit is an example of a community that is struggling to renew itself after it has suffered one economic blow after another over the years.

This is just one example of how the arts, in the hands of creative and ambitious young people, is helping one section of Detroit to become a vibrant and active area to live and grow businesses. Its focus on the multicultural foundations of the community show the strengths that come from diversity and the creative imagination.
