          My research for the book and resource guides keeps turning up these extraordinary people no one has ever heard of outside their communities. Brian Floriani is one of them. Read this inspiring story of what he has accomplished in Chicago through Bernie’s Book Bank, named for his father who grew up a coal miner’s son. Our future strength lies in encouraging and supporting the individual social entrepreneurs of this world, the people who are making our communities better one project at a time. Our world depends on the power of local ideas and commitment to action!
