Music does more than inspire, it has the power to heal. I have shared many posts here about Music & Memory, the program created by Dan Cohen in New York for caregivers to use with persons with dementia. Every week I am finding new examples of the program’s adoption in nursing and assisted living homes around the world. If you haven’t seen the inspiring documentary about the effect of music on dementia patients and their families, Alive Inside, do go to a screening in your area or purchase the video.

Today’s post is a story from Heartland Country Village in Black Earth, Wisconsin. The good work continues!
