          One of the saddest aspects of our current deep split in the US is that too few people know about all the good things, the great ideas, and the wonderful people living in rural and southern communities. The Berry family of Henry County, Kentucky, are among the truly great people in this crazy world. The Berry Center, Wendell Berry, and what I call the Berry Heritage are true beacons of hope.
